IESO is in the process of creating several different standards concurrently. However, to date no IESO standards have been submitted to ANSI for approval. Prior to becoming ANSI accredited, IESO created Standards of Practice for the Assessment of Indoor Environments, Volume One: Mold Sampling; Assessment of Mold Contamination. IESO is now working to update this assessment standard. In the meantime, the 2002 edition has become widely used by those performing mold screenings, especially for real estate transactions.
